Cookie Policy

Last updated 19 October 2026

This page explains what cookies are, which ones GiltHaus (gilthaus.com) uses, and how you can control them. It should be read together with our privacy policy.

What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. Cookies let a site remember things between pages or visits, such as whether you are logged in or which version of a page to show you. Similar technologies, such as local storage and tracking pixels, work in comparable ways and are covered by this policy.

Cookies we use

  • Strictly necessary. Cookies that make the site work, including those used by WordPress for comments and by our caching and performance tools to serve pages quickly. These cannot be switched off without affecting how the site functions.
  • Performance and analytics. If we use an analytics service, it sets cookies to tell us which pages are read and how visitors move through the site. The data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.
  • Affiliate. When you click an affiliate link to a retailer, that retailer or its affiliate network may set a cookie so that a later purchase can be credited to GiltHaus. These are set and controlled by the third party.
  • Embedded content. Pages may include content from services such as Pinterest. Those services may set their own cookies when the content loads.
  • Advertising. If we display ads, advertising partners may set cookies to show ads relevant to you and to measure them.

How to control cookies

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings; every major browser allows this and explains how in its help pages. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site from working. To opt out of personalised advertising, you can also use the industry tools provided by the Digital Advertising Alliance, the Network Advertising Initiative, or Your Online Choices, depending on where you live.

Changes

We may update this policy as the site changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
